Betty “Pooch” Christofferson Betty “Pooch” Christofferson, 84, Luxemburg died early Friday morning July 29, 2011 at Jack & Engrid Meng Residence in Ledgeview. She was born May 1, 1927 in Luxemburg, to the late Louis & Viola (Kuester) Sell. On June 12, 1954, Pooch married John Christofferson at St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg. She graduated from Northwestern University School of Music and taught school at Paw Paw, Illinois and Casco, Wisconsin. She was an active member and past Choir Director of St. John Lutheran Church in Luxemburg, an active member of Northbrook C.C, Director and past President WNEGA and director of WWSGA. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John, and their children, Mary Christofferson (Jay Mork), Waupaca, Peter (Lynn) Christofferson, N.C., Kaye (Rod) Damery, IL., four grandchildren, Kaylan & Phillip Christofferson, Troy & Scott Damery, one sister, Anita (Joe) DuChateau, sisters- in- law, Elda (Don) Dillonare, Ruth Edwards, one brother-in-law, Peter Christofferson, a special relative, Dodo (Ray) Liebl, two godchildren, Lynn Miller and Andy Sell, many special nieces and nephews and their families. Pooch was preceded in death by, one brother and two sisters- in-law, Don (Mary) Sell, Laverne Christofferson, one brother-in-law, John Edwards. Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church, Luxemburg, Tuesday, August 2, 2011 between 9:00 to 10:45 am. Funeral 11:00 am Tuesday at the church with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating.
