Ardeal J. Davister Ardeal J. Davister, 89, Sugarbush, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at a Green Bay hospital. He was born in Sugarbush on December 2, 1925 to the late Elmer and Emma (Jauquet) Davister. Ardeal graduated from Water Division School on Finger Road, worked on the family farm until entering the United States Navy in 1943 - 1946 serving on the U.S.S. Pennsylvania war ship in the Pacific. Ardeal married Dolores Tilkens on June 19, 1946 at St. Mary Church, Humboldt. He was employed with Hansen Dairy delivering bottled milk to homes in Green Bay, the Green Bay Press Gazette and operated Davister's Bar and Food with the help of his wife, Dolores and their seven children from 1952 to 1981, selling the business to his daughter Lynn (Len) Whipp. Ardeal farmed his entire life, he did custom work with grain and hay for farmers as well as hauling milk for Lake to Lake. He drove school bus for Luxemburg Casco District for 32 years. For 18 years he was a tour guide for Kathy Nooyen "Care Free Travel". He made friends with a lot of Amish families through these tours. Ardeal raised Belgian Horses and started another business with parades, wagon and carriage rides for weddings, which his son Dale (Mary) Davister and family still offer today, especially during the Christmas Season at Botanical Gardens. He was the co-founder of Frontier Farmers Horse Club. Ardeal was a devout Catholic and belonged to St. Thomas The Apostle Church in Sugarbush, serving as an usher for many years. Ardeal was a member of the Bellevue VFW Post 9677. He traveled on the Old Glory Flight in 2012 to see the World War II Memorial with his brother Mick, which he deeply enjoyed. Survivors include his wife of nearly 69 years, Dolores, two sons and two daughters in law, Dale and Mary Davister, Humboldt; Fred and Bonnie Davister, Sugarbush; two daughters and two sons in law, Sharon and Ken Pieschek, Pine Grove; Lynn and Len Whip, Sugarbush; 24 Grandchildren, Dale's children; Denise Stahl, Lisa Wessel, Nicki Streblel, Dave Davister; Fred's children; Patty Dufek, Debbie Kroll, Amy Dequaine, Cindy VanPay, Laura Mathu, Dan Davister; Sharon's children; Randy Peischek, Ron Pieschek, Corisa Pieschek, Collen Pieschek; Lynn's children; Lee Whipp, Lane Whipp, Luke Whipp, LuAnn Naze, Lyle Whipp; Sandy's children; Lee Kielpikowski, Kurt Kielpikowski, Krystal Montevido; Tony's children; Jenny Delebreau, Mellisa Agamite; 48 Great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother and two sisters in law, Mick (Vick) Davister, Green Bay; Sharon Davister, Pilsen; two sisters and one brother in law, Isabell Brunner, DePere; Fay Davister, Luxemburg; Clarence "Peanuts" Michaels, Sugarbush; one brother in law and four sisters in law, Elroy (Gerri) Tilkens, Crivitz; Geraldine Tilkens, Green Bay; Nathalie Salzsieder, Oconto; Aggie Hudson, AZ;, many nieces and nephews. Ardeal was preceded in death by two sons , Glen Davister, Tony Davister, one daughter and one son in law, Sandra and Steve Kielpikowski,; one brother, Clyde Davister, two sisters and one brother in law, Carmen and George Paider, Glenda Michiels, Walter Brunner; four brothers in law and three sisters in law, Clayton Tilkens, Lester Salzsieder, Marvin and Mary Tilkens, LaVerne and Joe Swille, Maxine Prevost, his father in law and mother in law, Robert and Catherine Tilkens. Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Friday, May 29, 2015 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush. Bellevue VFW Post 9677 memorial service 6:45 pm. Friday. Closing parish rosary at 7:00 pm. on Friday. Visitation will continue between 9:00 and 10:15 am Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. Thomas The Apostle Church, Sugarbush. Funeral 10:30 am on Saturday at the church with Rev. Andrew Kurz officiating. Burial in St. Hubert Cemetery, Sugarbush with full military rites at graveside.
