Byron H. Bredael, 95, of Luxemburg, died Friday evening, April 24, 2026, twelve days shy of reaching his 96th birthday. He was born in Thiry Daems on May 7, 1930, to the late Norman A. and Celia M. (Dalebroux) Bredael. On July 4, 1957, he married Donna L. Dax at St. Odile Church in Thiry Daems. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2018. Together they ran a dairy farm in Thiry Daems until retirement. Prior to farming he worked at Tillmann Landscape and Pauly Cheese. Byron was a member of St. Peter Church in Lincoln.
Survivors include their three boys, Gregory (Sara ) Bredael, Green Bay, Gary Bredael, SC; Gerard (Rosetta) Bredael, NJ; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Tiana, Talyn, Byron, Ashlee, Alexandra, Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Kiara, Olivia and Wesleigh; one brother Cletus Bredael, Luxemburg; one sister-in-law Betty Dax, Sheboygan, nieces and nephews.
Byron was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Nola Smith; two sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Lou Ann (Joe) Sticka, Eunice (Reginald) Deterville; Ray Dax Jr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond J. Sr. and Theresa L. (Treml) Dax.
Friends may call Sunday, May 3, 2026, 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg. Closing prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. on Monday May 4, 2026, at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Machila, officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
