Charlotte "Char" J. Gilson, 85, Green Bay, formerly of Dyckesville, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was born February 23, 1941, to the late Anthony O. and Mildred M. (Blonde) Du Jardin. Charlotte married Myron J. Gilson on July 23, 1960, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Champion. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2016.

Charlotte was very proud of driving school bus for the Luxemburg-Casco School District for 48 plus years. Having grown up in the very small town of Champion, everyone knew Charlotte, and would frequently say to her, "I road your bus, remember me?" Like her parents, she was a very social member of the community. She was a hard worker, and it was difficult to find someone who could "out work" her. She was a giver - to her family and the community.

Charlotte was a devoted religious person, and you could always see her in the front row every Sunday at St. Louis Church. Charlotte was bookkeeper for the parish for many years. She organized many church fundraisers, and Lions Club festivals.

Charlotte is survived by her three children, Thomas (Bernice) Gilson, Green Bay; Ann (Peter) Birdsall, Green Bay; and Scott Gilson, Port Washington; three grandchildren, Jacob Birdsall, Phillip Birdsall, Sophia Gilson; three step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and one brother, Neil (Sharon) Du Jardin.

She was preceded in death by her husband Myron; parents Anthony and Mildred Du Jardin; one grandson, Jack Gilson; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mayme Gilson.

Friends and family may call, Friday, October 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville. A closing prayer service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at St. Louis Church.
