Clarice "Claire" T. Wery, 90, Luxemburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. She was born in Brussels on March 10, 1936, to the late Clarence and Lilian (Derenne) DeNamur. She married Myron "Mike" J. Wery on May 8, 1954, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Brussels.
Claire spent most of her time raising her six children. She worked at Stratosphere Supper Club and later worked for Emerson Electric. After retirement she worked at Northbrook Country Club where she met many good friends.
In her youth, she loved and excelled in music. Claire was a band majorette at Brussels High School. She was a first chair trumpet player and an avid piano player. She enjoyed playing softball for The Brussels Women's League, spending time in "Little Namur" at their Wausaukee vacation home with family and friends, and enjoyed spending time with her siblings, particularly at the annual sister's weekend.
Claire is survived by her husband Myron; her children Mike Wery, Kathy (Mike) Cisler, Rock (Laurie) Wery, Candi (Brad) Florence; eight grandchildren Brad (Jamie), Mike Jr., Chris (Britt), Shawn (Jessica), Travis (Kelly), Rick Jr (Katelyn), Brent (Sarah), Brittany (Paul); several great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-laws Chris (Colleen) DeNamur, Lindy (Sharon) DeNamur, Galen (special friend Sue) DeNamur, Mary Ann DeNamur; sisters and brothers-in-law Pat Ullman, Karen Rosinsky, Vern (Rod) Robillard; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Carol Stevens and Michele (Gary) Borley; three godchildren Vern, Terri and Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two children Barb and Rick; one grandchild Arianna Florence; one brother Claude DeNamur; brothers-in-law Ken Ruben, Bob Ullman, Bob Rosinsky, and Emroy Stevens.
Friends may call at St. Louis Church, Dyckesville, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Antonio Palaya officiating. Entombment in St. Louis Cemetery. Dyckesville.
