Dale J. Borley, 74, of Luxemburg, Wisconsin, passed away Friday afternoon December 8, 2023, at Aurora Hospital, Green Bay, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Church in Champion, Wisconsin from 9:00 am until 10:45 am, followed by 11:00 am Catholic Mass, with Rev Carlo Villaluz officiating, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Dale was born March 24, 1949, on a farm in Kewaunee County. He graduated from Casco High School in 1969 and worked at the Algoma Plywood for one year following his graduation. Dale then began working at Northern Paper Mill. He enlisted into the United States Army for three years where he served in the Korean Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the paper mill for a total of 40 years, retiring in 2008. He was a volunteer driver for 20 years for the American Red Cross. Dale married Faith A. Retzlaff in New Franken at St. Kilian Church on May 18, 1974. He is survived by his wife, Faith and their children: Dawn Borley, Rhonda (Robert) Zirbel, and Adam (Sara) Borley; grandchildren: Don James Van Lieshout and step grandchildren: Alex Marcussen and Vance DeKeyser. He is further survived by one brother, Jim (Sue) Borley; four sisters, Judy VandenHouten, Elaine (Duane) Jeanquart, Jillaine Charles, Nancy (Carl) Wertel; sisters -in-law and brothers-in-law, Chris (Dale) Buhr, Paula (Larry) Demeny, Gayla (Steve) Borley, Donna LeCloux, Diane (Scott) Kleinman, Gary Fett; nieces and nephews. Dale was proceeded in death by his parents Earl A. and Dorothy M. (Dart) Borley; sisters; Beverly Fett, Janice (Richard) Hamachek, and brothers- in-law: Gary VandenHouten, Donald Charles, and Rodney (Ruth) Retzlaff. Dale enjoyed playing many sports including basketball, baseball, and cross county track. Dale spent his free time reading and watching Westerns, Price is Right and his beloved Green Bay Packers. Dale will be laid to rest in St. Mary Cemetery in the Town of Humboldt following his funeral mass. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post, 262 of Luxemburg.
