Obituary

Diane Marie Tielens (Petiniot), 87, Formerly of Dyckesville, Wisconsin.

Our beautiful mother passed away into our loving Savior’s arms surrounded by her family at Angel’s Touch Memory Care in Ledgeview, Wisconsin. She is with our Father once again and young and carefree.

Diane was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Of her many interests, Diane was the Choir Director for over 60 years at St. Louis. She was a longtime member of Birder Choral in De Pere. Diane was creator of beautiful things. She was a decorator of home for family, friends and clients. In Spring, her yard was filled with Pink Impatiens and geranium baskets. At the Holidays, her table was set with her china and crystal and endless choices of desserts, salads and sides. And to anyone that stopped by, their door was always open.

Diane was born to Melvin C. and Myrtle M. Petiniot. When she was young her family moved to Dyckesville and there she stayed her entire life. Diane graduated from Luxemburg High School. She then met and married Lyle R. Tielens on December 28, 1957, at St. Louis Church. Mom and Dad then moved into their first house and started a family. As Diane was an only child, her wish was to have a big family and together they raised seven children.

Diane is survived by her children: Kim (Ron); Caron; Keith (Cindy); Kelly; Coleen; Cara (Peter); Kristina (Joseph).

Grandchildren: Scott, Jon, Brett, Diana, Ryan, Kyle, Kevin, Steven, Cassandra, Isabella, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Olivia, Carson, Ava, Devi, Elana, Arison.

Great grandchildren: Morgan, Tessa, Delaney, Brooks, Emorie, Lennon, Benjamin, Jaxon, Jett, Shay, Quinn, Jackson, Olivia, Cameron, Audrey, Emma, Mariah, Nathan, Ivanka, Elwin, Jackson. And one more coming in July.

Diane is further survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn, her nieces Lynn, Barb, Marcia and nephew, Gary.

Diane was proceeded in death by her husband, Lyle; parents Melvin and Myrtle Petiniot, in-laws John and Anna Tielens, brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill & Audrey, Melvin & Florence, Shirley & Ken and Wayne. A great- granddaughter, Maeryn, sons-in-law Ron and Larry.

Our family wishes to thank all the wonderful staff at Angel’s Touch Memory Care in Ledgeview, WI. The loving care you gave our mother while a resident and our family when visiting gave us peace and comfort knowing she was loved and safe. And a special thank you to Stephanie, from Moment’s Hospice who carefully tended mom these last two years.

Visitation will take place at St. Louis Church in Dyckesville on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 2:00-5:30 pm with a closing prayer service at 5:30 pm.
