Earl E. Martin, age 95, of Luxemburg, passed away Saturday morning, July 25, 2026, at Autumn Fields Assisted Living in Luxemburg. Earl was born in Luxemburg on December 31, 1930, to the late Edward A. and Sylvia A. (Melera) Martin.
On November 3, 1951, he married the love of his life, Eleanor Mary Beyer, at St. Kilian Catholic Church in New Franken. Earl and Eleanor had three sons, Earl P. Jr., David and Jim. Together they ran their dairy farm for most of their life, prior to Eleanor’s death on February 18, 2017. Earl loved farming, even picking stones!
Earl was very mechanically inclined, overhauling the family tractor at age 16. Earl built much of the equipment he used on the farm, such as a forage blower, chopper wagons, manure spreader, grain swather and his most prized creation, a sawmill that could saw a 26 ft. log. Earl shared his talents, fixing neighbors' farm equipment often for free and many times at the expense of his own needs. His mechanical talents also led him to working at a local farm implement in Luxemburg for several years.
Earl enjoyed polka dancing with his wife Eleanor and numerous friends at local polka dances. Earl also enjoyed going to the EAA fly-ins.
Earl is survived by his children, Dave (Dorothy) Martin and James (Ann Kuehl) Martin; sister Jeanne Zellner. Grandchildren: Jason (Carly) Martin; Tiffany (Kevin) Grabian; Ross Kuehl-Martin; Brad (Darci) Martin and Amanda (special friend Adam) Theis. Great-grandchildren: Viktor, Saffron, Anika and Ivan Grabian; William Martin.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor; his son Earl P. Martin Jr.; sister Arlene (Martin) Vandervest; great-granddaughter Kali Theis; and great-granddaughter Evelyn Martin.
Friends may call between 9:00 and 11:15 am on Friday, July 31, 2026, at St. Peter Church, Lincoln. Funeral 11:30 am at the church with Rev. Antonio Palaya officiating and Deacon Bob Miller assisting. Entombment at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay.
McMahon Funeral Home, Luxemburg, is assisting the Martin family. Online condolences can be shared at McMahonFH.com.
Special thanks to all the angels on the staff of Autumn Fields Assisted Living for the excellent care of Earl.
