Gerald "Jerry" Tilot, 96, of Green Bay, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026, surrounded by his family at Emerald Bay Assisted Living.

Jerry was born on March 12, 1930, in Green Bay, WI to William and Mary (Kollross) Tilot and grew up on a farm in Sugar Bush. He graduated from Luxemburg High School, class of 1947. In 1951 he was drafted in the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. Every day while in the service, he received a loving letter from his sweetheart, Marcella "Marcie" Seidl, who he later married on November 21, 1953, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg. He worked at the Luxemburg Implement Co and was a volunteer fireman for the Luxemburg Fire Department. He then worked at Wisconsin Public service for 27 years until his retirement in 1992.

Jerry was a faithful member of St. Jude Catholic Church, served on the Parish Council and as Trustee. Jerry and Marcie were involved in different Eucharistic Ministries and volunteered for many years at St. Vincent De Paul. Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus - Fort Howard Council 5382 and Marquette Assembly 1197 and the 4th Degree Honor Guard. " He received the Catholic Knights, Msgr. Listecki "Servant of the Poor" Award for his long-term involvement with St. Vincent de Paul. Jerry and Marcie were also very involved with the Cursillo Movement. Jerry was still the leader of Eucharistic Ministry at Emerald Bay until the Sunday before he passed! In 2015, Jerry was honored to participate in an "Old Glory Honor Flight.

Jerry was a perfectionist and a "jack of all trades". He enjoyed helping all of his children and grandchildren with multiple home projects.

Jerry enjoyed photography and was passionate about genealogy, having visited his Belgian cousin's multiple times and hosted them fourteen times. Jerry and Marcie also enjoyed attending their grandchildren's sporting events and polka dancing at various venues around N.E Wisconsin.

Jerry is survived by his children, Glen (Kathie), Debbie (Jim Barancyzk), Gary (Donna), Ronald (Connie), Annette (Pat Hoslet), and John (Sheri); fifteen grandchildren, Ryan, Betsy and Tessa, Aaron, Ashley, Lauryn and Ally, Jenni and Phill, Stephanie and Bill, Kristin and Caitlyn, Riley and Bob; nineteen great-grandchildren Olivia, Henri, and Milo, Emily and Ava, Mason, Myles, and Decker, Lincoln and Josephine (JJ), Kayleigh and Beau, Hank, Clara, and Sylvie, Ellie and Emma, Addison and Emmett. He is also survived by his sisters, Arlene Phillips and Sally (Alan) Borley, sister's in-law Rita Tilot and Muriel Seidl, and step sister-in-law, Angie Servais.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcie; his parents; his stepmother Rose; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry and Frances Seidl; his brothers Maurice, Kenneth (Shirley) sister, Jackie (Cyril) VanLaanen; brothers-in-law, Milton Greatens, Ray Phillips, Mike (Lillian) Seidl, Hank (Agnes) Seidl, Leonard (Adeline) Seidl, Harold Seidl; and stepbrother, Joe Servais.

Visitation will take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division Street, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon with Rev. Ron Belitz officiating. Full military honors provided by American Legion Post Ralph Kline Post 262, Luxemburg. Entombment will be in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Jerry's name.
