Irene C. Ledvina, 98, Pilsen, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born in Stangelville on June 23, 1927, to the late Frank and Frances (Gasche) Selner. She was a graduate of Denmark High School. Irene married Jerome H. Ledvina on September 3, 1949, at St. Lawrence Church in Stangelville. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2011.
Irene farmed alongside Jerry on the family farm in Pilsen, WI. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved going out to eat, shopping, and trying her luck at the casino. At home, she took pride in her gardening and especially loved her flowers. Irene enjoyed bowling and was known for preparing a wide variety of delicious dishes and desserts for family and friends. She also had a fondness for collecting salt and pepper shakers.
Irene is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her parents; one brother, Leonard (LaVern) Selner; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene (Clarence) Kozlovsky, Verna (Harold “Butch”) Zelton, and Francis Peters.
A visitation will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at St. Therese Parish, St. Joseph –St. John Site, Pilsen. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Msgr. Jim Dillenburg officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pilsen.
