James Allen Blemke

James A. Blemke, 79, Luxemburg, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026. Jim was born February 22, 1947, in Antigo, to the late Leo and Lorraine (Theisen) Blemke. He joined the United States Navy in 1965, shortly after graduating high school. While stationed at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Illinois, he met Diane. The two were married on November 18, 1967.

Jim and Diane were stationed in Ponce, Puerto Rico for two years, where their son, Jeff, was born. After Jim's service in the Navy, they moved to Antigo, where he began his lifelong career in HVAC. In 1983, they relocated to Luxemburg, where Jim later started his own HVAC business. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 262 of Luxemburg.

Jim is survived by his wife, Diane; children Jeff (Lisa) Blemke and Tracy (Kevin) LeDocq; grandchildren Brandon (Makenzi) Blemke, Dylan (Amber) Blemke, Jacob (special friend Paige) Blemke, Trenton LeDocq, Kaden LeDocq, and Landen LeDocq; and great-grandson, Rhett Blemke. He is further survived by many brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, George and Doris Kammerzelt; brothers Bill Blemke, Marty Straka, and Dick Straka; nephew Chris Blemke; and niece Robyn Blemke.

Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, with a closing prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church from 9:00 to 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Full military rites will be provided by the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 of Luxemburg at the close of service. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum
