John E. Pilgrim, 80, Luxemburg, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born January 24, 1946, in Kewaunee to the late Elmer J. and Doris J. (Kittell) Pilgrim. On April 18, 1970, John married Donna M. Alsteen at St. Martin Church in Tonet.
John was employed with Luxemburg Milling Company until 1974 when he began his career at Packerland Whey until his retirement. During retirement he helped his son Kevin at the welding shop.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Donna, and their three children Kevin Pilgrim and his special friend Michele, Luxemburg; Kay (Michael) Jeanquart, Green Bay; Keith Pilgrim, Luxemburg; two grandchildren Kendra (Ryan) Andrews, Shawano; Nathan Jeanquart, De Pere; three great grandchildren Kasey, Jensen and Raelynn; one sister Bev Frank, Denmark; two brothers in law Earl Krueger, Brillion; Frank Jalowiec, Antigo; two sisters in law Shirley Gomand, Champion; Janice Alsteen, Luxemburg; many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Doris Pilgrim; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Frank and Eva Alsteen; five sisters Joan (Bob) Abts, Charlotte (Vic) Marshek, Lana Jalowiec, Shirley Pilgrim, LuAnn Krueger; two brothers in law Gary Frank, Louie Gomand.
Friends may call between 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church, Luxemburg. Funeral service will be held at Noon, with Rev. Carl Brewer officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of The Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
