LaVerne S. Stodola, 99, Luxemburg, died Tuesday evening, May 6, 2025, at Oak Park Place, Green Bay. She was born to the late Ben Salentine and Marie Haen on April 24, 1926. On June 29, 1946, she married Clarence Stodola at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2010. They owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Montpelier. She was a member of St. Therese Parish, Pilsen.
She enjoyed gardening, baking and taking care of her chickens. Special times were spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Survivors include three children: Thomas (LaVonne), Cottage Grove, Donna (Warren) Allen, Green Bay, and Robert (Debra) Stodola, Luxemburg; grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) VanRemortel, Jeff Allen, Laura Allen (significant other Rory), Randy (Sarah) Allen, Angela (Bill) VanderMause, Dena Stodola, Greg (Millaine) Stodola, Kristin (Rick) Holzwart, Renee (Tim Frank) Stodola, Michelle (Chad) Ford, and Ryan (Katie) Stodola; in addition to 22 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, infant son Joseph, as well as her parents Ben and Marie Salentine and father and mother-in-law Joseph and Anna Stodola as well as her brother Nick Salentine, and brothers-in-law Theodore Schlies, Joseph Stodola, William Stodola, sisters in law Agnes Salentine, Marcella Schlies, Dorothy Stodola, and Anna Mae Stodola.
Friends may call at St. Therese Church, St. Joseph-St. John Site in Pilsen on Monday, May 12, 2025. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to 10:45am. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Rev. Dennis Drury officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pilsen.
