Mary Ann Dorner, age 78, of Luxemburg, passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, October 16, 2025. Mary was born on February 27, 1947, to the late Joseph E. and Doris G. (Marcelle) Paul of Luxemburg, Wisconsin. On May 10, 1974, she married David J. Dorner, and together they shared 38 years of marriage and were blessed with one daughter, Joy.
Mary was cherished for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to others. As a devoted nurse for more than 40 years, she brought comfort, compassion, and healing to countless lives. She found happiness in life's simple pleasures-playing cards, sharing sweet treats, and spending time with her family and friends.
A proud member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Luxemburg and the Christian Mother Society, Mary's faith was a guiding light throughout her life. She was often seen with a rosary in hand, quietly praying for those she loved.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Joy Judkins; grandchildren, Riley (Sasha Andrewjeski) Judkins, Hannah (Brandon) Grovogel, and Noah Judkins; great-granddaughter, Jaina; and siblings, Carol (Dennis) Vincent, Cathy Gartzke, Don (Cindy) Paul, Steve (Jody) Paul, and Mark (Judi) Paul.
She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dale (Elaine) Dorner, Kathy DeGrave, Kristen (Mark) Allen, Mark (Cheryl) Dorner, Greg (Diane) Dorner, Doug (Cindy) Dorner, Kevin (Diana) Dorner, Cheryl (Terry) Neinhaus, Pat (Carrie) Dorner, Dawn (Brian) Rabas, Lisa Spude, Amy (Joe) Peters, Dan DeGrand; many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Doris Paul; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Norbert and Marian Dorner; brothers, Joseph Paul Jr. and Gene Paul; son-in-law, Matthew Judkins; brother-in -law Ted Gartzke; sister-in-law Marilyn DeGrand.
Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at St. Mary Church in Luxemburg. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel Schuster officiating, with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Luxemburg.
