Obituary

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Suzanne M. LeRoy “Grandma Sue” who left this world on Thursday evening, May 28, 2026, at the age of 71. Suzanne was born on April 21. 1955, in Algoma to Vincent J. and Mildred I. (Gilson) LeGreve. On September 25, 1976, she married Bernard J. LeRoy at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Rosiere.

Suzanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and caregiver whose kindness touched countless lives. Suzanne dedicated much of her life to caring for children and had a true gift for making every child feel loved and safe. Over the years, she babysat for more than 120 children, many of whom became like family to her. Her home was always filled with laughter, toys, snacks and unconditional love. She was also a St. Norbert Hockey fan and longtime season ticket holder. She rarely missed an opportunity to go to the games, cheering on the team with her family and friends. She was a proud member of Christian Mother Society of St. Mary Church, Luxemburg, where her faith and compassion shined through in everything she did. Above all, Suzanne will be remembered for her warm heart, selflessness, strength and the love she so freely gave to everyone. Her legacy lives on in the many children she helped raise, the family she cherished and the countless memories she created.

She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years Bernard; two children Rebecca (Arthur) Jakubiec and their children Dominic (Kady Mccracken), Kalab, Joseph and Phoenix; Amy LeRoy and Amilya; five great grandchildren Aubrey, Bryson, Charlotte, Skylar and baby boy "Stuie" in July; her brothers and sisters, Allen (MaeLee) LeGreve , Vince (Barb) LeGreve, Joanne (Raymond) Johnson, Mary (Dave) Garceau and Amy LeGreve; Bernie’s siblings Bonnie LeRoy, Gloriann Ciha, Gary (Julie) LeRoy and Linda (Daniel) Phillips.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie’s parents Bernard A. and Loretta LeRoy, her siblings Joyce (David) Berg, Kenneth (Yvonne) Berg and Alexander LeGreve; Special godson, Mathew LeGreve; three brothers in law and one sister in law Glenn LeRoy, Diane (Tom) Jeanquart and Raymond Ciha.

Friends and family may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Luxemburg from 2:00 to 4:30 pm on Sunday, June 7, 2026, with a closing prayer service at 430 pm. Visitation will continue at the church from 9:00 to 10:45 am on Monday, June 8, 2026. Funeral at 11:00 am, Monday with Very Rev. Daniel J. Schuster presiding and Deacon Mark LeGreve, assisting.
