Obituary

Vincent J. Kinnard, 95, New Franken, passed away peacefully on Sunday June 7, 2026. He was born on November 10, 1930, in the town of Lincoln to the late William Joseph and Lucy Mary (LeRoy) Kinnard. Vincent graduated from Casco High School. He soon after enlisted into the US Army Signal Corps. He was stationed in Austria during the Korean War and proudly served his country for two years, until returning home.

On April 27, 1954, he married Darlene Clare Lardinois and together they had three daughters. Vincent and Darlene purchased a farm in New Franken, where they operated for 31 years. During this time, Vincent also maintained full time employment at Proctor and Gamble, until retiring in 1991. In 1994, Vincent and Darlene built their forever home where they enjoyed many years of retirement together.

In his free time, Vincent enjoyed wood working, golfing, and spending time clearing trees in his woods. He served as a volunteer at St. Vincent De Paul. He was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Parish, Bay Settlement and the American Legion Ralph Kline Post 262 of Luxemburg.

He is survived by three daughters Lea Ann (Allen Valek) Kinnard, Prior Lake, MN; Diane Falish, Patti (Mike) Van Lanen, all of New Franken; five grandchildren Peter Falish, Fred (April) Falish, Jennifer Falish, Jeremy (Beth) Falish, and Amber Van Lanen (fiancée Arne Williamson); ten great-grandchildren Marissa, Abby, Jacob, Lucas, Cynthia, Evan, Claudia, Aubrey, Destiny, Sonia; Brother Allen (Dotty) Kinnard, Humboldt; sister in law Sharon Kinnard, Lincoln.

He is preceded in death by his wife Darlene of 70 years; parents; three brothers Norbert (Doris) Kinnard, Marvin (Donna) Kinnard, Mark Kinnard; one sister Monica (Kilton) VandenHouten; father in law and mother in law Benjamin (Lena) Lardinois; three brothers in law James (Rita) Lardinois, Milton (LaVerne) Lardinois, and Bernard (Joanie) Lardinois; three sisters in law Ethel (Emil) Bosdeck, Lucille (Donald) Wery, Maxine (John) Stegmann; Son in law Milton Falish; Grandson Scott Besaw; Great Grandson Brandon Falish-Haufe.

Friends may call at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Bay Settlement, on Monday, June 15, 2026, between 9:00 am to 10:45 am. Mass of Christian burial 11:00 am with Abbot Dane Radecki, O. Praem., officiating. Full Military Rites follow the funeral Mass. Entombment at The Shrine of Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
